i've never felt so small

Passages of the day: Click HERE to read today’s passages.
My family and I have been traveling in an RV around the country this past year. We have visited most of the Western hemisphere since we left Missouri in early February. I have not traveled much prior to this so getting to see all that God has created has truly been an experience of a lifetime. This last weekend, we visited the Grand Canyon. Let me tell you, I have never felt so tiny in my life! Truth be told, this whole year has made me realize how tiny I am in this world.
Reading Isaiah 40:12-31 specifically brought my recent thoughts into reality even more. These passages show us that the Lord has no equal and there is nothing or no one even comparable to his glory and majesty. Read these passages slowly and really take in those words. Is it not jaw-dropping? I mean, I literally cannot even comprehend the magnitude of the Lord. Isaiah says that the people are like grasshoppers to him and that the Lord can pick up the whole earth as though it were a grain of sand (v. 15).
It gets better friends. Re-read Isaiah 40:28-31.
Have you never heard?
Have you never understood?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary.
No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.
Don't you feel his love for you just through these couple of verses? The same God who created the entire universe also created you. The God who created the Grand Canyon (which itself feels small when I think about the entire universe!), the Earth, the moon and stars, and countless galaxies has you at the top of his list. You are his most prized possession. You are what he cares about more than anything. He wants to give you strength.
For I hold you by your right hand—
I, the Lord your God.
And I say to you,
‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you. (Isaiah 41:13)
Try to meditate on these verses for a little bit. Bring your cares to the Lord and feel him holding your hand. Do not be afraid. He is right here with you.
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
— Isaiah 41:10
Prayer to start with: God, I am so unworthy of your love but yet, here I am. You hold my right hand and walk with me daily. I am a sinner but you are still with me. Thank you.
