1 Corinthians 9:1-18
I really enjoyed reading Nehemiah 9, they declared God’s majesty, compassion, faithfulness, and forgiveness. As they worshipped, I’m sure their hearts were overflowing with affection/faith. How can you not when you read through that history!
So, one thing I’m trying to do in the morning, in the evening, and whenever I can is to say thank you to God. To look outside, in my house or whatever pops into my head and just say thank you, God, for those things. I know this isn’t anything new but filling my day with praise and thanksgiving has been so important since things have been pretty stale. (not the best word but the first word that comes to mind)
I want to share this song that’s been allowing me to express my thankfulness lately and it’s called “My Soul Sings” by Maverick City or Housefires, different versions for whatever you enjoy most.
I pray that it encourages you today.
And the Levites—Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah and Pethahiah—said: “Stand up and praise the Lord your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting.
— Nehemiah 9:5
Prayer to start with: Lord, thank you for the little things in life each day that bring us joy. Your grace and mercy are unending!
