2 Chronicles 35:1-36:23
1 Corinthians 1:1-17
Psalm 27:1-6
Proverbs 20:20-21

Psalm 27 has come to my mind many times when I have felt scared and in despair. ”The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life: of who shall I be afraid.

During tough times I have really needed to remember who God is and what he has done in the past, and that God is always there throughout these times.

I have especially leaned on Him as my mum has been diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time. With Covid separating us,my mum had surgery by herself. As that day came I prayed for protection for my mum, God did just that and as we prayed for good results,He was there again.

When David wrote this Psalm, he was going through tough times he was threatened physically, emotionally and spiritually. David knew that God was with him and would protect him.

As we go through difficult times in our lives, when things seem scary and bleak. God wants us to reach out to Him and ask for help. We have to trust in Him, and put our lives in His hands,as we know a brighter tomorrow will soon dawn.

To memorize:

Grace and peace to you from God, our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ

— 1 Corinthians 1:3

Prayer to start with: Gracious God, Thank you for being a constant in my life. I give thanks that when the storms come you are right there by my side, without fail. Help me not to be afraid, but to always trust in you. In Jesus’ name. Amen
