“I lift up my eyes to the mountains, where does my help come from?” (Psalms 121:1)

These past couple of months have been extremely hard for me. Recently, my grandfather passed away at the age of seventy five and everything in my life came to an abrupt stop due to the coronavirus. In addition to all this, my stress and anxiety levels have been through the roof which haven’t helped matters at all. In times like these I often have many questions and wonder, does God really love me? Where does my help come from? What is God's plan for me?

In Psalms 121, it talks about where I get my help from and that's the Lord. He will not let my feet slip and will keep me from harm day and night. Though times may get tough, God is always watching over me now and forevermore. He loves me and has a great plan in store for me.

Knowing this makes me feel better and answers my questions. God does love me and has a great plan for me. He is there for me to go to when I need help.

As life goes on, I need to continue living for God and remember that he is always there for me and has everything under control. His love is unconditional and he is where I get my help from.

To memorize:

My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

— Psalm 121:2

Prayer to start with: Lord, thank you for always being there for me. I know that my help comes from you and that you are always watching over me even when life gets hard. I know that things won’t always go my way but you have a great plan in store for me. Amen.
