Administrative Assistant

Overview

New North Church (NNC) is a thriving congregation of 1,000 people on the San Francisco Peninsula. The Administrative Assistant will provide support for the Finance & Operations (FinOps) team and the Lead Pastor with general support for the office. The Administrative Assistant is a full-time position and reports to the Office Manager.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer operational HR processes (e.g. Hiring, onboarding, benefits, insurance etc.)
  • Support the Lead Pastor with administrative tasks in regards to Men’s Ministry and Missions)
  • Manage the calendar for events and supported ministries)
  • Manage room requests for all ministries at the office and campus)
  • Submit reimbursements for Lead Team)
  • Submit invoices for payment for various vendors)
  • Handle permit requests for different events both on and off campus)
  • Order / Stock office and kitchen supplies and keeping track of inventory)
  • Welcome visitors to office)
  • Screen and manage incoming calls and messages for all staff)
  • Receive and sort mail and alert relevant individuals of incoming packages)

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Arrange travel and hotel accommodations for guest speakers of NNC and updates Planning Center
  • Records meeting minutes when requested
  • Maintaining electronic filing system
  • Knowledgeable about the My New North portal
  • Implement and execute the best practices of New North Church
  • Other duties as requested by Office Manager

Middle School Director

Overview

New North Church (NNC) is a thriving congregation of 1,000 people on the San Francisco Peninsula. The Middle School Director will provide leadership for a growing, thriving, and reaching Middle School Ministry at NNC. The Middle School Director is a full-time position and reports to the Generations Pastor.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead New North’s Middle School Ministry (MSM)
  • Implement the vision and strategy for the spiritual growth of middle school students
  • Develop a strategy for reaching unchurched students with the gospel
  • Develop a strategy for engaging numerous public Middle School campuses with the gospel
  • Develop meaningful, pastoral relationships with students through a variety of settings
  • Recruit and equip a team of leaders to work with MSM
  • Oversee the development of a core of student leaders
  • Connect and counsel students, parents and people in the body as the need arises
  • Create and run a vibrant Sunday morning service
  • Be one of the primary teachers for Middle School Ministries on Sunday mornings
  • Provide leadership to MSM mid-week event (currently Life Groups)
  • Create effective transitions into and out of Middle School Ministry
  • Organize and plan activities, retreats, and the overall student ministry calendar
  • Communicate regularly with parents and students via email, text, and social media

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist Generations Pastor in planning student ministry retreats and events
  • Work with the rest of the New North Generations Team on projects and activities spanning multiple ministries
  • Be involved in staff meetings, activities, and staff responsibilities
  • Implement and execute the Best Practices of New North Church
  • Be available to do other tasks that the Generations Pastor deems necessary

  • 4-year degree, some Bible or seminary training preferred
  • Good working knowledge of technology; specifically Macs, GoogleGSuite
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Multi-site experience desirable
  • Highly adaptable

Facilities Coordinator

Overview

New North Church (NNC) is a thriving congregation of 1,000 people on the San Francisco Peninsula. The Facilities Coordinator is primarily responsible for overseeing the day to day facilities needs and administration of the NNC campus. The Facilities Coordinator will be responsible, organized, and work well with people. This is a part time position working 20-25 hours per week and reporting to the Office Manager.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate regularly with Office Manager on facilities needs and issues
  • Manage day-to-day relationship with cleaners
  • Organize and coordinate all cleaning requests, including weekly and one-off requests (i.e. carpet)
  • Handle maintenance requests as needed
  • Coordinate with Campus Experience Director, Community Life Pastor, and/orGenerations Team regarding facility needs for Sunday, midweek and special events
  • Organize and manage supplies for campus, including being available to acceptand/or coordinate deliveries to the campus
  • Manage storage rooms and custodial closet to be organized and tidy
  • Coordinate and execute the ongoing improvements on campus
  • Be flexible to execute special projects as needed
  • Setup / Teardown
  • Be main point of contact to organize and coordinate all facilities setup /teardown needs for Sundays, midweek ministries, and all other ministry events on campus
  • Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers as needed for set up and take down
  • Communicate regularly with Volunteer Facilities Setup / Teardown coordinators and leads
  • Check My New North calendar regularly for facility needs for events and ministries
